Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Pizzeria San Pietro, a charming pizza restaurant nestled in the heart of Spoleto, Italy. With its scenic location behind the historic San Pietro church, this hidden gem combines a rustic atmosphere with authentic Italian flavors. As a food reviewer for Menustic, I am thrilled to introduce you to a culinary experience that captivates not only tourists but also locals with its exquisite dishes and warm service.

Pizzeria San Pietro stands out for its focus on quality. Customers rave about the robust flavors and generous portions that range beyond pizza, featuring an extensive menu that includes delectable pasta and hearty meat dishes. The wood-fired pizzas, in particular, are beloved for their crispy crusts and vibrant toppings, capturing the essence of traditional Italian cooking. One reviewer, Tim Zhuang, highlighted the "super pizzas" and mentioned delightful lamb skewers, showcasing the diverse offerings that make this restaurant a must-visit.

The atmosphere is equally inviting. Described as having a "special atmosphere" by MERTA BORECKA, patrons can enjoy their meals surrounded by the serene beauty of the woods, adding a tranquil touch to the dining experience. The friendly service, noted by several diners, enhances the overall charm, with complimentary limoncello or grappa to conclude your meal, creating a welcoming feel that encourages guests to linger a little longer.

Visitors should keep in mind that reservations are advisable on weekends, as this popular location tends to fill up quickly. Tchan C's review details the importance of finding the restaurant's unique access point, a charming uphill dirt track that leads to an oasis of taste, away from the bustling streets of Spoleto. Although parking can be a challenge, the journey here is well worth it for a fuss-free dinner filled with hearty Italian fare.

If you're searching for authentic Italian cuisine that celebrates tradition while offering a modern touch, Pizzeria San Pietro is your destination. The charming setting, attentive service, and stellar menu promise an unforgettable culinary adventure that will leave you planning your next visit before you even finish your last bite. Wonderful place for anyone who appreciates simple Italian food

Not just pizza. Large choice of meat and pasta. Tasty food, reasonably priced, good service, nice location in the woods. Popular among the locals At weekends a reservation may be needed.

A very lovely place with a special atmosphere, tasty food and affordable prices. Definitely recommended!

Located behind San Pietro church, it is accessed by its own little uphill dirt track. Super pizzas and lamb skewers we had were also very good. Service was friendly and happy, with limomcello on the house after meal. Good vibe. Menu (and our server) spoke in English, which was very helpful for us anglo-phones.

We wanted to avoid the complications of parking and ztl zones in Spoleto so we drove here instead. Great for a fuss-free dinner, and mostly locals seem to come around. I can't quite figure out what the location is, as I've seen signs for "reception" and the menus have English descriptions. Hefty-sized pizzas and about five pages worth of choices. The roasted meat skewer tended a little on the dry side but still tasty. The lovely waitress gave us some grappa and limoncello after dinner as part of the meal. Basically a good place to go if you're looking for good wood fired pizza at relatively good prices. Beware the Google directions to this place though, as it brings you to the Chiesa San Pietro (mind which has an excellent view of Spoleto fortress at night), but the pizza place is on a back road behind the church, which you can see if you're on a satellite view and kind of follow it by eye rather than map. Parking spaces are limited.

Amazing thin and crispy pizzas with a menu, pages long over different toppings! Free limoncello or grappa at the end. It's also amazing value!

Delicious pizza and friendly staff. Affordable price. Highly recommend.

Perfect spot. Good italian food. 5 pages of pizza et great place
